Welcome to First Church
You may know us as the Strawberry Fest Church. We are that and so much more. We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the church and His message - loving God and loving our neighbor - is our driving force. At First Congregational Church, we treasure relationships – relationship with God, through Christ, and with one another and our community. We believe that questions and study build faith and that within our welcoming community, we can learn and grow in faith together. We believe that it’s not what you do, what you wear or where you've been – it’s what’s in your heart that matters. We're a small church & a big family. There is a place here for you. The door on the east side of the church has long been our main point of entry (on the side where the parking garage is) and the handicapped ramp is open until worship begins. The west side entrance and front entrance to the church is unlocked for those who want to park on the street or in the bank parking lot. Doors are locked after worship begins. There is a table at the main entrance with a sign-in sheet (for recording attendance) and printed bulletins are also available there. On communion Sundays, we continue to have prepackaged communion elements available on this table. Reminder: Masks are available for those who may have been exposed to cold, flu or possibly Covid. These masks are located at the front entrance where you sign in. If you don't see them, just ask. "Looking for a church that will accept you for who you really are? Come visit, and you will find God here in the midst at this church." - L. Herrick |
