ANNUAL STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL
INFORMATION

Thank You Letter for the Terre Haute Strawberry Festival 2025   The First Congregational Church of Terre Haute, in collaboration with Chances And Services for Youth (CASY), extends our deepest gratitude to the Terre Haute community for making the 2025 Strawberry Festival on June 12 a tremendous success. Held at 630 Ohio Street, this beloved event brought our community together for a joyful day of strawberry treats, music, and fellowship, all in support of CASY’s early childhood education and youth mentoring programs and the church’s outreach initiatives.   We are immensely thankful for the leadership of our collaborative festival chairs, Gwen Hicks, Patty Eaton, Scott Isles, Brandon Halleck, and Emilee Roberts, whose dedication ensured a seamless and vibrant event. A special thank you goes to Libby Wyrick, who chaired the festival for over a decade, laying a strong foundation for its continued success.   Our heartfelt appreciation extends to the volunteers who prepared the church grounds and facilities. Rex Fields and Dick Watson went above and beyond with special cleaning and gardening efforts outside the church. Inside, Jill Cheeseman, Joyce Hensle, Vicky Eaton, Patty Eaton, and Tiffany Herring worked diligently to ensure the venue sparkled.   The frozen advanced order team, including Julie Plasse, Whitney Boyce, Joyce Hensle, Vicky Eaton, Brooklyn Sheppard, Cammy Reed, Heather Stephens, Tiffany Herring, Patty Eaton, and Emilee Roberts, handled orders with efficiency and care. Our line supervisors, Gwen Hicks, Ruth Hood, Whitney Boyce, and Kati Colvin, kept operations running smoothly, while truck and product supervisors Scott Isles and Phil Reed ensured everything was in place.   The festival was enlivened by the talents of our musical guests, Dan Tryon, Kyle McArdell, Rob Steildel, and Jak Gibson, whose performances brought joy to all. Molly Moulton delighted young attendees with strawberry tattoos at the children’s table, creating lasting memories.   We are grateful to Betty Fields for her delicious strawberry-rhubarb pie in the break room and to the historic Mayflower Guild for funding the breakroom food for our volunteers. We are also grateful for so many community organizations who helped serve the “Works” and served in a volunteer capacity.   The festival’s success would not have been possible without the generous support of our community volunteers and businesses, including Mayor Sakbun, WTWO, Baeslers, Casey’s, Carlisle Correctional Facility, 7 & 70 Liquor (with a special honorary mention to Wayne Bower for his longstanding community support), CINTAS, Pepsi, First Financial Bank, Tabco, Apple House, B&B Foods, BigPicture, and Complete Outdoors. Their contributions, from resources to parking spaces, made this event possible.   Thank you, Terre Haute, for keeping this 37-year tradition thriving. Your support and participation made the 2025 Strawberry Festival unforgettable. We look forward to celebrating with you again next year!   Sincerely,
The First Congregational Church of Terre Haute
